JD approached me about creating his LP & CD via a phone conversation and within just a few moments I knew I had to work on this project. JD is a unique character and after our initial chat (about 3 hours!) and listening to his music I felt free to create something fresh for his Americana Music release.
Inspiration was sparked from his love of Surfing and Sinatra. For those of you who know the classic surf cult movie Endless Summer, you will see nods to this in the photo direction. To capture the Sinatra vibe I thought about the midcentury modern breezeway brick patters located all over Palm Springs. Add in some classic midcentury modern colors and ta-da… our design direction was solid.
Looking forward to creating social media pushes, website and a full merchandise line coming this spring.
